I am a molecular biologist, with mixed training and experience between the research and company worlds. I am also an expert in scientific communication and project management, for which I contribute with non-profit scientific associations. I am currently vice chairman of FEBiotec, and previously I presided over the Association of Biotechnologists of Madrid.
I define myself as a humanist scientist. I am passionate about synthetic biology, entrepreneurship and communication, both in science and politics, another of my great passions.
Among my projects, I am currently a founding partner of a technology based startup that I hope to present soon. I consider myself more leader than boss, and although I enjoy the tasks of management, I stand out especially in a dynamic team, in which I try to get the best of people.
I am motivated by projects that seek to perform a real impact on the great challenges of the planet. Among the causes that matter most to me are sustainable development and clean energy, pollution bioremediation, and new models of education and economy. Given my experience as a scientist and disseminator and my vocation to seek a better society, I am also excited about the political projects in which I can participate as a scientific advisor.
